As part of the ongoing election campaign, DMK candidate KVKS Sabari Karthikeyan met the public and canvassed votes near the Uzhavar Sandhai on Madukkarai Road in the Kurichi area.
Coimbatore: Election campaigning has intensified in the Kinathukadavu Assembly constituency, with candidates actively reaching out to voters.
In particular, DMK candidate K.V.K.S Sabari Karthikeyan is undertaking an intensive campaign drive, aiming to secure a victory for the DMK in a constituency where the party has not won for the past 25 years.
He is contesting against AIADMK candidate Damodaran, who emerged victorious in the previous election. In that closely fought contest, DMK candidate Kurichi Prabhakaran lost by a narrow margin of just 1,095 votes.

Against this backdrop, Sabari Karthikeyan has been vocal about delivering a decisive win for the party in Kinathukadavu and is positioning his campaign as an opportunity to rewrite history.
Action Before Announcement
Addressing the gathering, he said that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is a leader who delivers on his promises. He pointed out that the women’s rights assistance scheme, which opposition parties claimed could not be implemented, was successfully rolled out by the DMK government. He added that upon returning to power, the assistance amount of ₹1000 would be increased to ₹2000.
He also highlighted the free bus travel scheme for women, stating that it has significantly improved women’s savings. Referring to Pongal benefits, he said ₹3000 was provided to all ration card holders.

During his campaign, he recalled the recent ₹5,000 deposited into the accounts of women beneficiaries under the monthly assistance scheme and stated that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is the only Chief Minister in the country who delivers first, even without prior announcement.
He further noted that, anticipating possible disruptions due to elections, the government had already disbursed three months’ worth of financial assistance in advance, along with an additional ₹2000 as a special summer benefit.
Smiles Through Morning Meal
During his campaign, he also interacted with school children who are benefiting from the morning breakfast scheme. He asked them whether they preferred food from home or the meals provided under the scheme at school. The children, with cheerful smiles, responded that the food served at school was very tasty and that they preferred eating there. Their response drew wide applause from the gathered audience.

Sabari Karthikeyan emphasized that the DMK government has consistently fulfilled its promises and prioritized public welfare. He questioned whether opposition candidates could list similar welfare achievements from their tenure, alleging that they are more focused on protecting themselves and their parties rather than serving the people.
He urged voters to give him an opportunity to serve as one among them and represent their concerns in the Assembly. He appealed to the electorate to vote for the Rising Sun symbol to ensure that the demands of Kinathukadavu constituency are effectively voiced.
Among those present during the campaign were General Council Member Kurichi Prabhakaran, Zonal President Dhanalakshmi, Area Secretary Senthilkumar, DMDK District Secretary Thavasi Thanabal, Treasurer Vazhai Ilai Murugesan, and several others.
