Jallikattu protestors storm Gandhipuram bus terminus.


Students, youth and the public from all walks of life conducted protests all over Tamil Nadu for in a peaceful way demanding a permanent solution for Jallikattu.



Since this morning, police warned the protestors to clear off from the protest site but the protestors failed to disburse. Following this, the police lathi-charged against the protestors and evicted them from the protest sites. All over Tamil Nadu the protest venues have turned into chaotic zones.



Today, the police who were more than 1,000 in number tired to drive away the protesters, a majority of whom are students from the VOC grounds The students who escaped from the VOC park grounds continued their protests at the Gandhipuram bus station. The police force were deployed at Gandhipuram bus terminus to clear the protestors. Lathi charge continued in this area too, which led to unrest in the area. 



A section of the protestors shared that the police is trying to turn their peaceful protests into a violent protest. It has been reported that in this clash, windows and windshields of buses were broken at the Gandhipuram bus stand. 



A few protestors who were grievously injured are admitted to hospital. Doctors at the hospital said that the injured students are provided treatment.

To the contrary, it is reported that the police upon suspecting prevalence of anti-social elements into the supporters crowd who had planned to deviate the protests and create law and order situation has been the reason behind the police to conduct lathi charge to disperse the crowd.
