Campus front of India a students organisation has condemned the Coimbatore city police commissioner for stating that this organisation was the reason for the Jallikattu protests to change course. Across the state, students and members of public from all walks of life hosted protests seeking the removal of the ban on Jallikattu.

It may be recalled that the police requested the protestors to withdraw the protests. As the protestors refused to withdraw their protest, demanding a permanent solution on Jallikattu issue, the police attacked the protestors and injured a section of them grievously. Following which violent incidents were witnessed all over the state.
Coimbatore police commissioner A Amalraj met the press today in which he had stated that some students organisations including Campus front of India changed the course of the protests. Abdul Rahman the general secretary of the organisation condemned the CoPs remarks. He also said the police commissioner is speaking in a manner which defaming the organisation. “We will initiate action against him as per the law. Tamil Nadu government should take action on the commissioner.” Abdul said
