PG and Research Scholars of Bharathiar University allege VC for mishandling recruitments.

Allegations on Vice Chancellor of Bharathiar University has been sprouting up persistently in recent times. Students of this university allege him on various grounds, particularly on mishandling recruitments of faculty members.

In this regard, today students from various post graduation departments and research scholars of the university submitted a petition to the district collector seeking action against the vice chancellor for recruiting faculties who are 'unfit' to handle the subjects.

'Inexperienced and unqualified faculty members have been recruited at the University. Reservation rules, basic criterion, educational qualification requirements have been ignored in exchange of bribe.

Lot of irregularities have been done in the process of filling the 76 vacant faculty positions. It is assumed that crores of funds has been misappropriated in this regard.

Despite, raising several complaints on the illegitimate issues taking place in the university, so far, no action has been initiated against the wrongdoers.

Action should be initiated against the vice chancellor A. Ganapathi for his involvement in 'unlawful' recruitment of faculty members and he should also be discharged from his duties with immediate effect. Proper investigation on these offences should be conducted and such 'corrupt' recruitments should be terminated' the students urged.
