Public Grievances Day Meeting held at Coimbatore Corporation; Mayor Kalpana receives petitions from public

At the Grievance Day Meeting held at the Coimbatore Corporation on Tuesday, the Coimbatore Mayor received petitions from 29 people from different areas and directed officials to take immediate action on the petitions.


Coimbatore: A public Grievance Day Meeting was held at the main office of the Coimbatore Corporation on Tuesday.



The meeting was chaired by Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar and was presided over by the Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, M Prathap, Deputy Mayor R Vetriselvan and Corporation Deputy Commissioner Dr. M Sharmila.



At the meeting, 29 people from different areas of the Corporation submitted their petitions to the Mayor.

The petitions containing various demands pertaining to basic amenities such as birth and death certificates, road connectivity, electricity, drinking water facilities, underground sewerage, profession tax, property tax, vacancy tax, new water connection, name change, medical, health and education were received.



Of these, 5 petitions were filed in the eastern zone, 6 in the west zone, 1 in the north zone, 7 in the south zone, 3 in the central zone and 7 in the main office. Mayor Kalpana who received these petitions directed the concerned Zonal Assistant Commissioners, engineers and officials to take immediate appropriate action on these petitions.

Regional Assistant Commissioners Annadurai, Mohanasundari, Sekar, Muthu Ramalingam, Mahesh Kanagaraj (Po), Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) SenthilKumar Rathinam, Assistant Commissioner (Accounts) Sundararaj, Assistant Commissioner (Administration) Saravanan, Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Town Planning Officers, Assistant Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Corporation officials and the general public participated in the meeting.
