Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar receives petition at the Public Grievances Day meet held in City Corporation

Mayor Kalpana, who received petitions at the public grievances day meeting held at the main office of City Corporation, directed the officials to take prompt and appropriate action on the petitions received.


Coimbatore: A public grievances day meet was held at the main office of City Corporation under the chairmanship of Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar on Tuesday. Deputy Mayor R. Vetriselvan and Deputy Commissioner Dr. M. Sharmila presided over the meeting.



At the meeting, 47 people from all parts of the Corporation limits submitted their petitions to the Mayor.



The petitions containing various demands pertaining to basic amenities such as birth and death certificates, road facilities, street lights, drinking water facilities, underground sewerage, profession tax, property tax and name change were received.

Among the 10 are in the eastern zone, 8 in the west zone and 8 in the north zone. A total of 47 petitions were submitted by the public, including 10 in the zone, four in the south zone, 10 in the central zone and five in the main office.

Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar, who received the petitions, directed the concerned Regional Assistant Commissioners, Engineers and Officers to take immediate and appropriate action on these petitions.

Regional Assistant Commissioners Annadurai, Mohanasundari, Sekar, Muthu Ramalingam, Mahesh Ganakaraj (Po), Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) SenthilKumar Rathinam, Assistant Commissioner (Accounts) Sundarraj, Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Town Planning Officers, Assistant Engineers, all corporation officials and general public participated in the meeting.
