At the closing ceremony of a special training camp held for STF police personnel in the city Police Commissioner Balakrishnan performed a rope climbing adventure by scaling down a three-storied building, which was lauded by many spectators.
Coimbatore: The training camp conducted for the Special Task Force for D-Division Police at the Coimbatore Police Training school has concluded on Sunday, in which City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, performed a rare feat of rope climbing.
Training classes were conducted for the Special Task Force (STF) in the last three days for D-division police personnel, in which about 30 police personnel selected from Coimbatore city police were given special training to handle emergency situations.
Various training methods were imparted, including, evacuating hostages, cracking down on terrorists and overpowering criminals and abductors.
This was followed by a demo class on the concluding day in which various feats were performed.
The Police Commissioner also appreciated the policemen for their excellent performance and performed the rare feat of scaling down from the third floor of a building by rope climbing method.
