Coimbatore Productivity Council observes 'Productivity week'.

The Coimbatore Productivity Council (CPC) is a nonprofit organization established in the year 1958 affiliated to The National Productivity Council, New Delhi (Under Ministry of Commerce & Industry) with the objective of promoting productivity in all spheres of Industry by disseminating latest technologies and encouraging implementation of productivity programs for cost reduction, waste management and for improving labour and managerial effectiveness over the past six decades.




The Coimbatore Productivity council has been celebrating the Productivity week from 12th -18th February 2017. This year the theme is from “Waste to Profit Through Reduce, Recycle, Reuse”.  Various competitions on the above theme were conducted and organized by the council.




As a part of the productivity week an annual Productivity Conclave was organized. This is the Seventh Edition of the annual flagship event being organized by the CPC. The theme for the conclave was Leadership Development fro Next generation.The event was chaired by Dr.Kavidasan President CPC and Director Roots Industries Ltd, Rajanarayanan Sr.Vice President Chief HRO Titan Company Ltd Bengaluru along with Dr.N.Vivek GB Member and Professor PSGIM and Dr. A.M.Natarajan, Honarary Secretary CPC & CE Bannari Amman Institute of Technology Erode. 

Dr.Kavidasan in his welcome address shared that this is the 59th year of CPC and it has been pioneer in India.Coimbatore Productivity Council is constitution of industries,educational institutions and government organization which works towards betterment of everyone. Productivity, Quality and Safety have been the pillars of the Coimbatore productivity Council.



Mr.R.Rajanarayanan Sr. Vice President and Chief HRO of Titan Comapany Ltd, Bengaluru delivered the inaugural address on the theme leadership development for next generation, he shared that first and foremost element of leadership development is to start early. He further elaborated on the competencies like self motivation,discipline and effective communication have been persisting in the industry for years without changing.He highlighted about the important elements like for effective leadership as leaders should make the presence felt always, leaders should be effective listeners, should have a clear purpose for the team as well as organization, ability to learn continuously and time and space for reflection.

This one day conclave will have various sessions covering subjects like Building Team for changes and Challenges,Leadership teams for changes and Challenges,Family Run Vs Professional management development issue,People for Future of future for people and Cast Study presentation by leading Industries on Productivity Improvement. all these sessions will be chaired by eminent industrialists,educationalists.The session was attended by officials from organizations,educational institutions and industries.
