Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Government Observation Home in the Lakshmi Mills neighborhood is inspected by NCPCR.

Dr. K. G. Anand, a member of the National Commission Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in New Delhi, visited the observation home operated by the Department of Social Defense, Government of Tamil Nadu, in Coimbatore.

He was accompanied by the district collector, Kranthi kumar Pati, and superintendent of police for the Coimbatore district, Badrinarayanan V.

Dr. K. G. Anand praised the Coimbatore Center for its tidy and clean surroundings when speaking to the reporters about the inspection. It was told that a positive response after conducting an interaction with the residents of this observation home. He compared the real-time situation with the Monitoring App for Seamless Inspection (MASI) and described the current inspection.

The districts of Trichy, Tirunelveli, and Tanjore are currently lined up for the second inspection in Tamil Nadu in this respect. This examination was then conducted under Dr. Anand's direction in the states of Telangana and Karnataka.

Child marriages and drug cases predominate among minor cases, with the former being particularly prevalent in Tamil Nadu. Relevantly, through direct intervention, the TN police have successfully stopped more than 250 instances of child marriage. One of the police's notable campaigns to raise consciousness and vigilance about crimes against children is the Project Pallikoodam.

The announcements that a second Bench meeting would be created in Coimbatore in addition to the one that already existed in Ramanathapuram were among the highlights. Joint action plans to control drug cases are efficient, and the Coimbatore administration working with NCPCR is very successful.

Commenting on the NEET test, he said, "My team and I would like to send our sincere condolences to the student's family over the recent reports of a suicide on the NEET exam. I humbly ask that the state government take strict action against anti-socialists who disseminate false information about the NEET exams on online social media sites. Further spreading of rumours will put students under more stress after the Center and various representatives have made their positions on NEET known.

He stated, "The state opposing the NEET is administrative resolution but I request to take action against people who spread rumours and fake information on Social Media," which is in conflict with Tamil Nadu's stated goal of rigorously enforcing a ban on NEET in the state.
