We are in a situation where we have been deprived of GST - Mano Thangaraj, Minister of Dairy Development

Tamil Nadu Dairy Development Minister Mano Thangaraj visited the District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Dairy at Pachapalayam in Thondamuthur in Coimbatore district to inspect the functioning of the machines, processing, and packaging of milk. He also inquired about the needs of the staff and distributed welfare assistance schemes.



Coimbatore: Mano Thangaraj, Tamil Nadu Dairy Development Minister examined the District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Dairy at Pachapalayam in Thondamuthur, Coimbatore district.



During this visit, he examined the functioning and maintenance of the machines. He also inspected the processing and packaging of milk.



On the occasion, he also enquired about the needs of the staff there.



Subsequently, he distributed welfare assistance to the best milk producers, association secretaries, incubators and vendors.



Accordingly, 2.23 crore welfare assistance was disbursed to 124 beneficiaries.



Speaking at the event, Mano Thangaraj, Minister for Dairy Development, stated that Aavin is a large public sector company. Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Dairy Development Mano Thangaraj said, Aavin is a large public sector company. Many people have benefited from this. We are paying more attention to this sector. As far as Aavin is concerned, we want farmers to get a fair price and we are also doing constructive work on the insurance scheme.

As the Minister in Charge of This Department, I can tell you that anyone who wishes to meet with Aavin executives or the DR will be carefully guided. There is no denying that farmers' milk prices should be raised. At the moment, everything is subject to GST taxation. We are planning to establish a society wherever there are milk producers.
