The corporators submitted a memorandum to the District Collector demanding that the construction of the entrance work on the way to the FCI godown on Sathy Road in Coimbatore be stopped.
In their petition, they said that the Food Corporation of India (FCI) is carrying out the restoration work of the food godown near Bharathi Nagar on Sathy Road, which has a distance of about two kilometres to reach the food godown owned by the Food Corporation of India. As part of this, a gate will be set up at the end of the national highway on Sathy Road at the end of the route and only food corporation vehicles will be allowed.
