BJP Coimbatore Demands Action Against Temple Staff for Misconduct at Annadhanam Facility

BJP Coimbatore strongly condemns the unprofessional behavior of staff at the Murugan Temple Annadhanam facility in Saravanampatti, demanding immediate action against the involved personnel.

Coimbatore: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Coimbatore has raised a complaint against the employees of the Murugan Temple Annadhanam facility in the Karattumedu area of Saravanampatti for alleged misconduct.

The staff members, identified as Pakkiyalakshmi and Rathinam, have been accused by devotees of not properly distributing food and using harsh words towards them. Despite requests for more food by devotees, the staff reportedly refused and responded rudely, leading to devotees leaving the meal halfway. Videos of the incident went viral on social media, yet no action has been taken against the employees even after four days.

The Coimbatore BJP has criticized the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department for failing to address the issue and is urging for immediate disciplinary measures against the employees for their behavior, which has been deemed disrespectful to the temple goers and contrary to the intent of the government-sponsored Annadhanam scheme.
