Bharathiar University Registrar K.G. Senthil Vasan relieved

The Bharathiar University Syndicate on Friday relieved Registrar K.G. Senthil Vasan of his post. According to sources, the 12 members of the Syndicate who were present for the meeting unanimously decided to relieve Mr. Vasan as he had not submitted lien to the University after his appointment. At the time of appointment he was a faculty at an Erode college.

The sources also said that the Syndicate asked P. Kulandaivelu, Professor and Head of the Department, Physics, to take charge as Registrar in-charge with immediate effect.

Financial Mismanagement

The Syndicate relieving Mr. Vasan comes in the backdrop of allegations of financial mismanagement that included submitting exorbitant food bills.
