Southern Railway announces the extension of special train services between Nagercoil and Chennai Central via Kerala, Coimbatore, and Salem for summer season.
Coimbatore: Recognizing the heightened travel demand during the summer, Southern Railway has extended the operation of special train services between Nagercoil and Chennai Central. This extension is set to facilitate passengers traveling through Kerala, Coimbatore, and Salem.
According to the schedule released, the special train numbered 06019 will depart from Nagercoil Station at 5:45 PM on May 5 and 19, reaching Chennai Central the following day at 12:10 PM. Similarly, another special train numbered 06021 will leave Nagercoil on May 12 and 26 at 5:45 PM and will also reach Chennai Central the next day at 12:10 PM.
For return trips, train number 06020 will depart from Chennai Central at 3:10 PM on May 6 and 20, arriving in Nagercoil the next morning at 8:30 AM. Another set of journeys, under train number 06022, will leave Chennai Central at 3:10 PM on May 13 and 27, following the same schedule to Nagercoil.
Advance reservations for these special trains are currently open, enabling travelers to plan their trips efficiently during the peak summer period.
