Anti-naxal squad interacts with tribals

Following orders from the headquarters in Chennai, a 20-member anti-Naxal squad held a meeting with the tribals in the remote villages of Nilgiris district, bordering Kerala.

The members, led by Sub Inspector, Madasamy, asked the villagers to immediately inform them if they notice the movements or presence of strangers or anti-social elements in their area.

The squad also tried to familiarize themselves with the everyday problems and grievances faced by the tribals residing in the 11 vilalges, including Kolmattam and Olavankandi.

The tribals said that it was the first time that the members of the armed forces are were visiting them and interacting with them.
