Coimbatore: The Anaimalai Regulated Market, known for its routine copra auctions every Tuesday and Thursday, witnessed significant trading on May 30. Local farmers from the Anaimalai area brought 150 bags of copra to auction, generating substantial sales.
In this latest session, 25 bags of premium quality copra reached a maximum selling price of Rs. 9,300 per quintal, while the remaining 125 bags of standard quality sold for as much as Rs. 7,819 per quintal. Collectively, 67.50 quintals of copra brought in a total of Rs. 5.73 lakhs in sales, marking a successful auction day for local agricultural producers.
