Democracy Proved Strong Again in Recent Parliamentary Elections, says C P Radhakrishnan

At Coimbatore Airport, Jharkhand Governor C P Radhakrishnan highlighted the strength of democracy reflected in the recent parliamentary elections, emphasizing the massive support for PM Modi and raising questions about electronic voting machines.

Coimbatore: During a recent meeting with journalists at Coimbatore Airport, Jharkhand Governor C P Radhakrishnan expressed his views on the robustness of democracy evidenced by the latest parliamentary elections. He noted that the election has once again demonstrated the strength of democracy where people voted overwhelmingly in favor of advancing India as a significant nation under Prime Minister Modi's leadership for the third consecutive term. "This indeed is the grand democracy of India, being the largest in the world," Radhakrishnan stated.

He addressed skepticism regarding electronic voting machines, especially those previously raised by experts in Tamil Nadu, asserting that such doubts should now be allayed. Answering inquiries about the DMK conference, he opined that the victorious will celebrate, and that the betterment of Tamil Nadu will be decided by its people in the forthcoming elections.

Responding to a question about fewer votes received by Annamalai compared to himself, Radhakrishnan praised Annamalai's efforts. "Statistics don't lie; people use them to their advantage. I truly appreciate Annamalai's commitment; his hard work is undeniable, and what he has achieved is purely the result of his dedication," he explained.

The Governor expressed regret that cities like Coimbatore need to be more competitive and proactive in the national developmental narrative, stressing the importance of regional development alongside national progress.
