Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation has announced 50 special buses from Coimbatore for the upcoming Eid festival, aiming to facilitate travel to cities like Madurai, Theni, Trichy, and Salem.

Coimbatore: In view of the upcoming Eid festival, scheduled from June 15 to June 17, 2024, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) Coimbatore Division has announced the operation of 50 special buses.

These buses will be an addition to the regular service routes, enhancing connectivity to major cities including Madurai, Theni, Trichy, and Salem. The decision comes in response to the expected increase in passenger traffic during the festive period, aiming to ensure convenient and efficient travel options for residents heading out of Coimbatore.

This initiative is part of TNSTC’s ongoing efforts to improve transportation facilities during peak travel seasons and significant cultural festivities. The special services are expected to accommodate the surge in travellers, thus avoiding overcrowding and ensuring a smoother travel experience during the festive days.
