The 8th Annual Coimbatore Book Festival, jointly organized by Coimbatore District Administration and CODISSIA, commenced on July 19 at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex. The event will run until July 28, featuring over 100 publishers from various states.
Coimbatore: The 8th Annual Coimbatore Book Festival kicked off on the evening of July 19 at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex. The event, jointly organized by the Coimbatore District Administration and CODISSIA, was inaugurated by Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, CODISSIA President Karthikeyan, and officials from the District Library Department. After the inauguration, the dignitaries toured the exhibition stalls.

The book festival, which will run until July 28, features participation from over 100 publishers from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and various other states. A total of 285 stalls have been set up to showcase a wide range of books and publications.

Throughout the ten-day event, visitors can look forward to a variety of literary and cultural programs, award ceremonies, and literary competitions. These daily activities aim to promote reading and celebrate literature in all its forms.
