Court Employee Dies by Suicide Near Kavundampalayam in Coimbatore

A 50-year-old clerk from the 5th Additional Court in Coimbatore was found dead at his residence in Kavundampalayam Housing Unit. Police are investigating the cause of the suicide.


Coimbatore: A tragic incident unfolded near Kavundampalayam in Coimbatore as Chandrasekar, a 50-year-old court employee, was found dead in his home. The deceased worked as a clerk at the 5th Additional Court in Coimbatore and resided in the Gaundampalayam Housing Unit.

On July 28, Chandrasekar's wife Poongodi had left for her relative's house in Subramaniyampalayam with their daughter and son, leaving him alone at home. It was during this time that Chandrasekar reportedly took the extreme step of ending his life by hanging.

The incident came to light when a relative visited Chandrasekar's house to check on him. Shocked by the discovery, the relative immediately informed Poongodi and the police. Upon receiving the news, Chandrasekar's wife and children rushed to the scene, where they broke down upon seeing his body.

Kavundampalayam police arrived at the location, recovered the body, and sent it to Coimbatore Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the reasons behind Chandrasekar's tragic decision.
