Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Administration has announced a private sector job fair exclusively for differently-abled individuals, scheduled for September 28, 2024. District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati shared this information through a post on his official Facebook page on September 24.
The job fair is a collaborative effort between the District Differently Abled Welfare Office and the Employment and Career Guidance Office. It will be held at the Coimbatore Siddapudur Corporation Higher Secondary School premises from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 28.
Differently-abled individuals with various educational qualifications are invited to participate in the job fair. Eligible candidates include those who have passed 8th to 12th standard, graduates and postgraduates, as well as those who have completed ITI and engineering courses.
Participants are advised to bring original and photocopies of their educational certificates and identity proofs to the job fair. This documentation will be necessary for the registration and interview processes.
The initiative aims to promote inclusive employment and provide equal opportunities for differently-abled individuals in the private sector. It is expected to bridge the gap between qualified differently-abled job seekers and potential employers in the Coimbatore region.
