Three held for murder at Rathinapuri

The city police arrested three persons on Tuesday in connection with the murder of Thamaraiselvan (27) by a gang at his house at Chinnaraj Nagar in Rathinapuri on Sunday.

The gang of nearly 10 persons assaulted him and his brother with iron rods and logs - which claimed the life of the victim the same night.

The police identified the arrested persons as S. Gowtham (22) of Rathinapuri, G. Vijay (19) of Gandhipuram and M. Simon Christopher (24) of Ganapathy. While the three were remanded in judicial custody, the police were on the lookout for others involved in the murder.
