Nine more arrested in murder case

The city police have arrested nine more persons on Thursday in connection with the murder of Thamaraiselvan (27) in Rathinapuri on Sunday.

This takes the number of persons arrested so far to 12.

Two days ago police arrested Gowtham, Vijay and Simon Christopher.

Based on information provided by them, the police arrested their accomplices Vicky alias Vignesh (21), Karthik (20), Naveen Kumar (21), Vimal Kumar (22) and Karupu Gowtham (21) of Rathinapuri and accused in various other crimes Gavaskhan (24), Mahendran (25), Suresh (25) and Jeyasingh (26) of Siddhapudur.

According to the police, the accused aged below 21 years will be lodged in the Borstal School at Pollachi and the rest at the Coimbatore Central Prison.

Police were on the lookout for two more persons.
