Investigator appointed by Election Commission reviews preparations

Shuba Gupta, the officer appointed by the Election Commission, reviewed the arrangements made in the three constituencies of Coimbatore on Sunday.

Gupta, who arrived in Coimbatore on Sunday morning, visited the Pollachi Sub Collector's office and inspected the arrangements made in the Voter's Service Centre, and later inspected the campaign carried out by the administration to ensure 100 percent voting in the Pollachi constituency.

People in and around the Pollachi Bus Terminus and Jameen Muthur were informed and educated about the use of voting machines. Various cultural programmes were also held.

Later, Gupta inspected the Kinathukidavu and Valparai constituencies, and checked the arrangements and the campaigns carried out by the district administration. The official also distributed handouts to the public.
