Calling for an upbeat soul in order to achieve success in their careers, renowned actor and director Samuthirakani asked the students to follow their minds here on Tuesday.
Addressing students and parents at Vettri Nitchayam, an event held for plus two students, at the VLB College of Arts and Science, the national award winning director also informed parents that they should allow students to follow their hearts.

“Students are the non-corrupt pure souls of tsociety. It is at this age that good seeds are sown and they eventually grow up to be role models in future. At the same time, parents should also make sure that they do not impose on them their wishes and desires,” he said.
Commenting on the impact of education on life and careers of students, Samuthirakani said that education is just a part of life but it does decide the future of a student.

“We all know well that several average students succeeded in life. It does not matter whether you are in the first bench or the last bench, all you have to do is follow your dreams and succeed,” he advised the students.
Feeling happy over attending the meeting which is the first one for him after winning the national award for the movie Visaranai, Samuthirakani said that he was indeed happy to address the students after receiving the award.

Samuthirakani also gave away the prizes to the winners of the ‘Lensman’photo contest conducted by the School of Media and Design of the college. Best submissions of the contestants were exhibited for public viewing at the college.
