Panic gripped the town of Valparai when the residents noticed a leopard moving in the human habitat last night.
The leopard was found sleeping in front of the house of one Mohammad in Kakkan Colony. After some time, it took away a cat. Hearing the screams of the cat, the residents came out to catch a glimpse of the animal running away into the bushes.
The residents have alerted the Forest Department authorities about the movement of the leopard.
