A nine-year-old boy was injured after five minors pelted stones at the Korba Express near Rathinapuri when the train passed the city on Thursday. The Tirupur railway police were informed about the incident and a case was registered on Friday.

The boy was taken to a private hospital for treatment and has now gone back to Telengana. The boy, A Aromal was travelling along with his family from Kottayam to Ramagundam.

"When the train crossed North Coimbatore station and was moving towards Peelamedu, he was hit on his head by a stone. As he was sitting near the window, he was injured.
