Coimbatore Non Government Organisations to celebrate first anniversary with free summer camps

The founders and core members of the Coimbatore-based Thoorigai Charitable Trust will celebrate the NGO's first anniversary by organizing free summer camps for children. The summer camp will be held in the month of May.

A release from the charitable organization stated that the summer camp will be organized in five centres in Coimbatore, from May 2 to 7. At the summer camp, children will be taught the basics of aero modelling, robotics, environmental science, and road safety and first aid.

The activities and projects of Thoorigai Charitable Trust are directed towards empowering the children and families of the tribal region. Their summer camps too are being organized for the children from tribal families.

The founder of the NGO says that at the end of the summer camp, the participants will be given a school bag and stationeries. "Last year we organized competitions for the children from tribal schools. This year we wanted to ensure that the children benefit more, and that is why we have used all our funds for these children," R. Ranjitkumar, Founder, Thoorigai Charitable Trust says.
