Officials supervise booth slip distribution

District Election Officer, the Nilgiris, P. Shankar and Election Commission of India observer Santhosh Kumar Yadav on Friday supervised the distribution of booth slips to voters.

A release from the Nilgiris district administration said that the officials went to Orashola village in Coonoor Assembly constituency and supervised the district administration employees and others on poll duty distributing the slips to voters.

They urged the people to vote without fail. The constituency’s Returning Officer Geetha Priya was also present.

The district administration held a training for micro observers in the Hill Area Development Programme hall, said another release.

In Coimbatore district in the Coimbatore South Assembly segment, Returning Officer P. Gandhimathi and Election Commission of India observer Jothi Kalash distributed booth slips to voters in Raju Naidu Street in Sivananda Colony.
