AIADMK manifesto has nothing new to offer, says Kanimozhi

DMK's Kanimozhi on Saturday dismissed the AIADMK's manifesto for the upcoming elections, saying there was nothing new in it.

"There is nothing new in the manifesto. Only empty promises are offered, just like previous years, which are yet to be fulfilled. How can the public trust them," she said.

The AIADMK manifesto released earlier this week promised freebies, including free mobile phone and 100 units of power, if the party was elected to power again.

Alleging that cash was seized from the vehicle of a political leader by the flying squad personnel, she said the Election Commission should adopt stricter methods to flush out money meant for distribution among the voters. "They should intensify the searches as the money was found in a van of a candidate," said Kanimozhi.

On different projections by various opinion polls, she said DMK was not giving much attention to them.
