Child line activists step in to prevent the minor's marriage to a person thrice her age; get the man who sexually abused the girl arrested and locked up in jail.

Here in Coimbatore outskirts, there is this by now familiar tale of a love triangle that lead a minor getting entangled in a physical intimate relation and ending up pregnant.
The girl, daughter of a construction site worker, Dhaya, 13, used to watch her mother two-timing with two paramours. One was a live in partner, hailing from Orissa, 33-year-old Suresh and other Mahesh, a 23 year old boy, some 10 years junior to her mother Devi.
In fact, Devi had an affair with her fellow worker Suresh who used to take care of her needs. She then eventually developed a liking for another 23 year old youth - Mahesh and they used to have intimate moments when the other was away from the village.
Now the 13-year-old Dhanya used to watch these goings on and curiosity got the better of her and she eventually got entangled with Suresh and eventually she got pregnant.
At first her mother knew nothing and the whole thing came out when Dhaya complained of stomach pain. The doctor revealed after tests that she was four months pregnant and it was not even possible to consider an abortion at that stage.
When questioned, the whole thing tumbled out. Then Devi sought to get her girl married off to 33 year old Suresh, but it was then that someone intimated Childline.
Childline staff descended on the scene and lodged a police complaint against all the three players, who have been booked under various charges and at present are lodged in judicial custody.
Meanwhile, the police extracted a promise from Suresh that he would marry Dhaya when she becomes a major in five years from now. Suresh had an affair with both mother and daughter.
Said Devi's elder daughter, Janki (name changed on request) who has written her class XII board exam is currently staying her maternal grandmother in a village outside Coimbatore. The younger girl Dhaya (name changed on request) who is currently preparing to go to class IX used to stay with her mother Devi in Puliakulam, Childline activist Angeline said.
