Discussion on Smart City projects

The Coimbatore chapter of Young Indians of Confederation of Indian Industry hosted a meeting to discuss the Smart City initiative for Coimbatore.



The Centre has sanctioned around 500 crores for the project and we are expecting more. The focus now is how best to make use of the funds, a member of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Coimbatore chapter remarked.

Representatives from several city-based NGOs,resident awareness associations, Siruthuli, Shanti Ashram, city residents and from SNR Group participated in the meeting that also felt the top priority should be given to developing jogging tracks and more parks in the city.
