Coimbatoreans to become residents of smart city soon

 

The much-awaited transformation of Coimbatore to a smart city is going to get a start very soon. The commissioner with officials from Ministry of Urban development and Commissioners from Bhuvaneshwar and Kochi visited Germany for three days to hold talk with the officials and investors. The proposal proposed for Coimbatore Smart City is similar to the one that was designed by the German investors. The officials met the delegates from Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

 

A team of officials from Germany will be visiting Coimbatore in June month and an another team will visit on July 20 and will meet the board members of the Coimbatore Smart City Limited. The officials will be guiding the Coimbatore Corporation to work on the project and revise it if needed.

 

As Germany has made several innovations in urban mobility like waste water treatment, generation and usage of renewable energy and various energy efficient technologies. It will surely help to implement Coimbatore Smart City project easily.
