Signals creating confusions and road blocks in the city

There are lots of traffic signals in the city on various junctions. These traffic signals are to create hassle free drive and reduce accidents or roadblocks. But from past few days , this is not the case in the city as traffic signals don't have any uniformity. There is a vast difference in the functioning pattern of the signals.

The signal at Anna statue and Lakshmi mills turn green at the same time for both vehicles going straight and turning right but the time limit for people turning to the right is less.At GKNM junction and LIC the signal goes green for vehicles going straight from LIC Junction to the Avinashi Road Flyover but it's not green for people turning right thus creating a  road block.

The riders from the city are confused due to the signal and the condition of people driving from outside the city is worse as they don't have any idea regarding the signals. K. Kathirmathiyon , Secretary of Coimbatore Consumer Cause states that issues would be discussed in detail at the district-level road safety committee meeting to be chaired by the District Collector next week.City Police Commissioner A. Amalraj have said that the police will conduct a study regarding the issue and will come up with a solution for it.
