Western region cities welcomes South West Monsoon

The much awaited South West monsoon hit Kerala in this week. Now the western region of Tamil Nadu has also started receiving the much-needed relief by the onset of monsoon.

The districts in western Tamil Nadu have started receiving rainfalls and a subsequent drop in the temperature making people relieved from the scorching sun.

A lot of places received drizzle or moderate showers on Wednesday and Thursday. The rainfall figures show that Krishnagiri registered 2 mm; Hosur 3 mm; and Shoolagiri 26 mm except Dharmapuri with just remaining cloudy without any rainfall.

Areas like Salem city, Yercaud, Omalur, Edappadi and Arthur received the summer rains benefitting the farmers cultivating  pulses , millets and upcoming  paddy cultivation and even increasing the growth in flowers.
