Protest against constuction of Prayer hall at Kavundampalayam

Today morning residents of Murugan Nagar, Kavundampalayam gathered to stage a protest against their neighbourhood resident James, for constructing a prayer hall at his residence.

The locals allege that he has planned to establish a prayer hall in his residence and after their protest and petition to the District Collector and Thudiyalur Police station, the construction work was halted. Now, after nine months he has commenced the construction work and hence they have put forth their protest and also raised a complaint at the local police station. On the contrary, James denied the allegations against him, he stated that he is not constructing any prayer hall above his residence and he has got required legal approval for construction.
