Coimbatore is home to a number of indigenous online businesses serving its residents. The latest entrant is an online grocery store has been launched in Coimbatore on Monday. onlystaples.com

The store has initially been launched in Coimbatore and will be taken to other TIER II cities based on the success of this model, stated the CFO and Director of the company, Rajesh Keerthi.

An amount of 3 crores has been invested and the focus is to bring this online grocery store in top three online grocery businesses. The company is expecting 300 orders per day with the business of Rs. 3 lakh. The middle and lower middle-class people are targeted by the company and will include 10 fast moving products based on the trend. 

The company has tied up with farmers in the locality for the purchase of fruits, vegetables (including organic) on a daily basis to provide fresh produce to their customers. And for business arrangements, it has tied up product specific dealers, like spice dealers in Bodi. The product will be delivered for free in 20 km radius for purchase value exceeding Rs.750. A delivery charge of Rs. 30 is collected for purchase value below Rs. 750.
