Suspected ISIS cell Busted During Raids in Hyderabad

A major terror plot may have been uncovered in Hyderabad, where a suspected ISIS cell has been found by the National Investigation Agency. At least four people have been taken into custody during multiple raids at the old quarters of the IT-city.

The police say weapons, explosives and cash have been seized in the raids.

The raids come at a time when parts of the city are under prohibitory orders because of a strike by lawyers that has been on for over three weeks.

At the start of this year, 14 people suspected to be sympathisers of the ISIS were picked up from across the country in an anti-terror operation by the NIA. Two of the suspects were arrested in Hyderabad.
