Teenager shot dead in Guatemala after breaking into home to catch Pokemon

The widely popular augmented reality game Pokemon Go has claimed the life of a teenager after he broke into a house in Chiquimula in Guatemala to catch a Pokemon.

According to the reports in mirror.co.uk, Jerson Lopez Le Leon, 18, was shot dead while playing the game when he decided to break into the house with his cousin Daniel Moises Picen, 17, to catch a Pokemon.

The police said that an agricultural van seen speeding away from the scene as they are looking for the occupants of the van.

If reports are to be believed this could be the first death due to the augmented reality game, in South America.

There are a series of incidents that point out to the problems that the game has caused around the world.

Meanwhile, in Stourbridge, West Midlands, a driver was fined for playing Pokemon Go at the wheel.
