Kabali - A Force To Reckon With

It all started with the teaser, accompanied by the song "Neruppu Da", which took the world by storm. Never before was Superstar Rajnikanth seen in such an avatar. The teaser had a glimpse of everything that the fans had expected: the style, the punch dialogues, the music and Superstar Rajni himself salt-and-peppered to perfection sporting the infamous wicked laughter...Bhayama? Aha ha ha ha! This was just enough to roll the world over and over again under the feet of the one and only true SUPERSTAR in the world.

What followed thereafter was a string of marketing strategies that rocked the country and abroad. From the poster of the film being etched to a commercial airliner to a few companies declaring a holiday on the release date, everything added up to the hype that is Kabali.

The film is set to hit international markets with a bang and is being released in the US, UK, UAE, Australia, New Zealand and other key international markets on July 22.  In the US alone, the film is expected to be released in 500 plus screens and, considering the screen count, this is the biggest Indian release in international markets till date. The film is expected to cash-in INR100 crores in a mere three days. I mean, three days?? Wow! That's just what legends are made of. Magazhchi!

What makes Kabali a film to watch out for is not just the massive popularity that Rajinikanth enjoys everywhere, but also the talent that is Pa Ranjith. What it means for him is a golden platform that a newcomer like him could only dream about. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as far as Ranjith is concerned and it goes without saying that a director of his caliber will leave no stone unturned to make sure  his vision thrills and electrifies the mankind itself. What it means for Rajni is nothing short of a resurrection. His past films were unsuccessful in creating the magic that once he was able to institute among his fans. With Kabali, he hopes to bring that back, a Rajinikanth who was lost somewhere after the massive hit Padayappa.

The film releases this Friday country-wide. Initial reviews have already started flowing in from a private screening of the film that was held in the USA. Reports suggest that it is a mass entertainer with a lot of goosebumps along the storyline. Suffice to say that irrespective of the reviews, this film enjoys a MUST-WATCH status. So, guys, Go Kabali this weekend!
