World Hepatitis Day 2016 rally by Ramkrishna Hospital


The 2016 World Hepatitis Day is being recognised by the Ramakrishna Hospital by conducting an awareness rally from Womens Polytechnic College to VOC Grounds.

V.Ramakrishna, CEO - Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, C.V Ramkumar, CEO - SNR Sons Charitable Trust,   Dr.P Sukumaran, Dean - Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Dr.V.Arulselvan, Consultant Gastroenterologist, Dr. Karunakaran, Principal SNR Sons College were the dignitaries who flagged off the awareness rally. 

The aim of the rally is to create awareness on Prevention and Vaccination for Hepatitis A,B,C,D,E. 

Hepatitis A & E are spread through contaminated water and food, whereas Hepatitis B,D & C are mostly spread through blood borne diseases, doctors said. 

The organising committee stated that 'Elimination' of the disease is the main focus of the campaign. Successive events have been devised at the hospital to create public awareness, they told.

Students of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science , SNR Sons College, Inspector from B4 police station, Team of Doctors & Staff from Sri Ramakrishna Hospital actively participated in the rally.
