Arc Foundation and Young Indians jointly launch 'Dr. Kalam Library'


The Arc foundation of India along with the Young Indians - Coimbatore Chapter has launched a commendable project 'Dr.Kalam Library' as a tribute to him on his first death anniversary. 

Yesterday, the Arc foundation officially launched Dr.Kalam library at the FunMall, Peelamedu. The event was inaugurated by Corporation Commissioner, Vijaya Karthikeyan in the presence of Bharanidharan, Managing Trustee of The Arc Foundation, Mr. Sugunan Nair, General Manager Fun Mall and President of Rotary Club of Coimbatore Green City.



Already five libraries have been set-up, the plan is to establish 100 libraries at all Corporation & Government Schools by the end of October 2016, the organisers of Arc Foundation stated. 

Collection Points for books will be set at all prime locations like malls and stores, they disclosed.

College students performed puppet and mime shows, the posters, and website of the project were also revealed at the event.
