The department of elementary school education along with Coimbatore District Central Science and Technology today organized a science exhibition titled 'Innovative Science Exhibition 2016' at Karpagam University today.
The exhibition targets to bring out the creative talents and thinking ability of the students across the City.
Coimbatore District Primary Education Officer Arul Murugan flagged off the event. Students from Government Schools, Government aided schools, Private Schools, Matriculation schools and CBSE schools enthusiastically participated in the event, which featured more than 400 exhibits.

Two students were nominated to design new projects and were presented an incentive of Rs.5000/- each.
The Soil Free Farming project exhibit by Gautham a 7th standard student of Panchayat Union School gained the attention of the students and visitors.

The exhibition proved to be a great platform for the students to showcase their talents and compete in state level competitions. Winners of the Competitions will be supported through scholarships programmes by the government.
The organisers have planned to host it across Tamil Nadu.
