Namma Coimbatore, a two-day historical expo was organised by the students of Archaeological and Epigraphy department of PSG College of Arts and Science.
Mr. Selvaraj, Secretary, PSG College inaugurated the event at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam.
The exhibition show-cased some outstanding historical pictures & products of Coimbatore. Manuscripts of ancient era, old coins, equipments, potteries and many more historical displays takes us back to a historical era.

Giant burial urns called 'Mudhumakkal Thazhi' were also displayed which turned the attention of school children and visitors.

S.Ravi, Archeological Department stated that 'Coimbatore has been the global exporter of steel production in those days and it has been the hub for artisans and craftsmen. Coimbatore has played a crucial role in ancient trade, we have displayed facts at the exhibition to prove the point. Romans and Greek have been frequently visiting the city for procuring precious gems and stones'

The exhibition also hosts stalls on household goods, free health checkup camps, food stalls and some enticing competition for the Kids.
'A visual treat awaits the visitors at the Namma Coimbatore expo', said the Organisers.

The exhibition will be open from 6th to 7th August 2016 at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam. Avinashi Road.
