The Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has been invited by Isha Foundation as Chief Guest for the Grand finale of the 'Gramotsavam 2016' to be held today evening at the Codissia Grounds.
In a press meet at the airport, the Central Minister stated that the ministry is planning to expand the FM services, signal and coverage to all parts of the country, especially the rural ares were the connectivity is either feeble or not connected. The present FM services 45% will be extended to 60%, in a couple of years time, he assured.
He commented on Isha's Gramotsavam that these kind of rural cultural sports events should be encouraged and it's the platform for the rural people to showcase their talents and get motivated. He revealed that as he hails from a rural background, he has witnessed the vital role played by sports in rural communities.
When questioned on the trending lines by Lalu Prasad after PM's participation in Reliance Jio launch, claiming, 'data is cheaper than atta in this nation' he remarked that it's nothing but a joke. He confirmed that the technological development of the nation should reach and could be accessed by the people from rural areas.
