Training in solar energy systems

The Non-conventional Energy and Rural Development Society will conduct a three-month training programme here from March 8 to June 6 on “solar PV installer and service provider”.

According to a press release from the society, the programme is sponsored by the National Institute of Solar Energy and the Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency.

Candidates who have passed class X can apply with details of their age, qualification, address and contact number. They should have industrial training or diploma in electrical, mechanical or electronics. The last date for submission of application is March 5. Priority will be for women, the unemployed and candidates from rural areas.

The 600-hour training will include sessions on soft skills and entrepreneurship.

Boarding will be provided free of cost and the candidates will receive a certificate after completing the course.
