District Collector T. N. Hariharan recently declared open the Co-optex Diwali Rebate Sale. On display and for sale are a variety of saris, lenin shirts, bedspreads, table mats, microwave gloves, towels, comforters, blankets, chudidar materials and kurtis.

Sreenivasan, Course Director for Civil Service Exams at Bharathiyar University is a regular customer at Co-optex. Speaking to SimpliCity he shares that he is happy to make a purchase at this store as weavers are benefitted from the sales. He also stated that Co-Optex is one of the pioneering stores in providing quality products.


While at this store do take a look at their Kanchipuram saris. Nearly 35 designs are on display. They weigh less and are comfortable to wear too. Suresh, Regional Manager of Co-optex shares that usually Kancheepuram saris weigh nearly 1 to 1 ½-kgs but Co-optex is providing Kanchipuram saris weighing just 800-grams which are comfortable to wear too.

Organic saris, Paramakudi cotton, Negamam cotton, Coimbatore cora saris, Oraiyur cotton among others are also on display. Each sari has a tag mentioning the name of weaver, their photograph and the number of times the weaver has moved his or her hands and legs while weaving the fabric. This is one of its kind initiatives to appreciate the weaver.

Contemporary home furnishing trends in bed spreads are on display at the home furnishing section at Co-optex.
This discount sale is on at all Co-optex outlets till January 31. Apart from discounts, Co-optex also offers credits to government employees, teachers from institutions.
