As many as 3,400 electronic voting machines for the 2016 Assembly elections arrived in the city. Collector Archana Patnaik inspected the machines at the South Tahsildar office. The machines arrived from Jharkhand in five vehicles with heavy police security.
In addition to the electronic voting machines, 301 voting acknowledgement machines also arrived.
