Akilan, district president of Athitamilar Katchi submitted a petition to the Coimbatore collector today. In the petition, he has stated that more than 1,000 arunthathiar families are residing in the Indira Nagar in P.N. Pudur near Telungupalayam. People living in this area cannot afford to own a home. This has prompted them to apply for housing many times. However, no action has been taken so far. Akilan also requested the Coimbatore collector to provide arunthathiar families housing pattas.
