Makkal Athikaram members clash with police at the railway station

Members of Makkal Athigaram were arrested today for trying to hold a protest in front of the Coimbatore Railway station.





A woman entered into an argument with the police sub-inspector when the inspector tried to arrest her as she was a part of this protest. It is alleged that a female police personal was absent at this location.





This resulted in the team of the men police officers taking control of the situation at the location of the protest. Women who participated in the protest are claiming that they were pushed by the male police personals. Complaints are expected to be raised against male police personals in this regard.





This incident left this area tense for a brief period.
